Lion’s Mane Mushroom Recipe
Lion’s Mane Mushroom Recipe
Description
Lion’s Mane Mushroom is a white fungus with a lion’s hair-like texture; can be found on living trees, so maybe a tree parasite as well. It is an edible mushroom that can be used as a culinary and in traditional Chinese medicine. It is used to support brain and neurological health. Research has found that lion’s mane may protect against dementia, reduce mild symptoms of anxiety and depression and help repair nerve damage. It also has strong anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immune-boosting abilities and has been shown to lower the risk of heart disease, cancer, stomach ulcers, and diabetes in animals.
Ingredients
Preparation
-
Cooking lion’s mane mushroom is super easy and because of its unique taste ( similar to crab and lobster), it is best to cook as simple as possible. It can be a delicious, quick, and incredibly healthy side dish for fine dining.
-
Wash the mushrooms and slice them. Dry with a paper towel. Heat olive oil and butter in a medium skillet. Add the mushrooms and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes until both sides are browned. Serve immediately with your favorite main dish like fried shrimps in my case.
Bon Appetit!
