Ginger Molasses Cookies
Ginger Molasses Cookies
Description
These ginger molasses cookies are absolutely delicious; crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside ( Thanks to my sister for sharing this all-time favorite cookie recipe with me).
Ingredients
Preparation
-
Add the butter and the sugar to the bowl of your stand mixer ( or you can use a hand mixer). Cream them on medium-high speed until the mixture is soft and creamy for about 2-3 minutes.
Mix in the eggs ( one at a time) and molasses at medium-high speed until everything is combined.
Whisk the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt in a separate bowl and add the mixture into the bowl of the stand mixer. Combine everything at low speed. You have to scrape down the sides of the bowl a few times until everything is incorporated.
-
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Shape the dough with your hands into small balls, rolling each of them in the white sugar until they are completely coated.
-
Space out the balls appropriately on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 10-11 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer them onto wire racks to cool completely.

Bon Appetit!
