Green Beans with Almonds

This vegetarian recipe is a very delicious and nutritious side dish and especially great for a Thanksgiving dinner.

Preparation

Trim off the ends of the green beans and wash them well. Set aside.

Put olive oil in a pan, saute with onions, salt and sugar over medium heat, until the onions turn pink.

Add diced tomatoes, stirring occasionally.

Add green beans and 2 cups of boiling water.

Close the lid and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes.

Remove from the heat, let it cool down to room temperature.

Garnish with parsley and almonds.
