Muhammara (Roasted Red Pepper Dip)
Description
Muhammara is a Middle Eastern roasted red pepper dip with lots of flavors and just enough spices. You can eat it as a dip or as a spread with bread or as a sauce for grilled meat or chicken.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place the red peppers on a baking pan and brush with 1 tablespoon olive oil.

Roast them in the oven for 30 minutes turning once.

Remove from the oven. Peel the peppers, remove the seeds and cut them into slices.

Combine red pepper slices and bread crumbs in the bowl of a food processor. Start blending.

Add the rest of the ingredients ( walnuts, garlic, pomegranate molasses, salt, cayenne pepper, sumac, olive oil and lemon juice) and pulse a few more times. A little texture is preferable instead of a puree.

Transfer your dip on a serving plate. Garnish with walnut pieces and fresh parsley.

Serve with bread, crackers or vegetables
