Description
Okra is a very healthy vegetable with the highest levels of anti-oxidants and it is largely used in Turkish cuisine.
You can also try this recipe with or without ground meat of your preference.
Okra is delicious and it is very low in calories and the pods contain healthy amounts of vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K and minerals such as iron, calcium, and magnesium.

Trim the caps of the okra conically and wash them.
Put the olive oil in a pan, saute with onions, salt and sugar over medium heat until the onions turn pink.
Add ground meat and tomatoes, stir them occasionally for 5 minutes.
Add okra, 2 cups of hot water, and lemon juice.
Cover and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the heat and serve!
