We visited a few wineries in Niagara on the Lake. Niagara Peninsula is one of the most acclaimed grape-growing and winemaking regions in Ontario, Canada.
Stratus Vineyards https://www.stratuswines.com was the one we picked for wine tasting.
Stratus White 2016 and Stratus Red 2018 were the two blends that we tasted together with a 2021 Stratus Cabernet Franc and 2018 Stratus Ice wine.
I liked probably most the Stratus Red that is an amazing blend of Petit Verdot , Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Tannat and Cabernet Franc.
This superbly crafted wine boasts a rich nose of raspberry, bing cherry compote and fresh pomegranate. On the palate, prominent flavors of black plum, wood ash and rhubarb are rounded out by the complex flavors of Herbs de Provence that carry the long finish. The mouthwatering quality of the wine can allow great pairings with beef, lamb, game and poultry.
